Mr. McArtor is the co-founder and co-Managing Partner of Hawkeye and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Advisors and as a member of the Management Committee and the Investment Committee. He has primary responsibility for the operations and strategic development of Hawkeye as well as overseeing investor relations. Mr. McArtor has 31 years of professional experience, including real estate acquisitions and development, real estate capital markets, investor relations and the development and oversight of investment programs.

Prior to co-founding Hawkeye, Mr. McArtor was a Senior Vice President with Hillwood Development Company and the Global Head of Investor Services for CBRE Investment Management where he ran capital procurement, investor relations and new product development for the now $149 billion global investment adviser. In addition, Mr. McArtor was the Vice President of Investment Management for financial services/investment firm, Friedman Billings Ramsey (NYSE: FBR), and was a co-founder and a Managing Director of Legend Airlines. Mr. McArtor began his career as a senior analyst, senior associate and Comptroller Hillwood West for The Perot Group/Hillwood, the family office and real estate company of H. Ross Perot and H. Ross Perot, Jr.

Mr. McArtor holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University where he also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Folsom Institute for Real Estate. Mr. McArtor has also served on several advisory boards including, Alliance Residential Company, Panattoni Development Company, Garrison Investment Group, Meadow Partners, Blue Moon Capital Partners, Coretrust Capital Partners, and the Real Estate Center at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the Association for Foreign Investors in Real Estate, and has held Series 7 and 63 SEC securities licenses.
