Bio
Mr. Wilkerson is a Partner at Hawkeye and leads Research/Strategy/Sourcing. He also serves as a member of the Management Committee and the Investment Committee. He has primary responsibility for generating Hawkeye’s market research and analysis and for helping establish the investment strategies of the Fund and its New Manager Programs. Mr. Wilkerson has 29 years of professional experience. His experience includes portfolio/investment strategy and the application of real estate research.
Prior to joining Hawkeye in May 2010, Mr. Wilkerson was with Property & Portfolio Research, Inc. starting in 1995, and serving as the CEO from 2004 through 2009. During his tenure, the firm expanded market coverage into Europe and Asia, broadened its client base both by sector and geography and developed new products.
A primary focus of his role at PPR was advising clients, including pension funds, investment managers, developers, banks, private investors, REITs, government agencies and commercial lenders, and assisting them in the application of research to their real estate decisions. He worked with them to craft investment strategy, develop risk management, target markets for investment, raise capital and determine asset allocations.
Mr. Wilkerson is an active member of several industry associations, including ULI, where he is a trustee, and has served in several leadership roles including as a member of the Americas Executive Committee.
Mr. Wilkerson received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Government from Dartmouth College. He is a CFA charter holder.
