Bio
Andrew Birge is Senior Vice President, Accounting and Operations at Hawkeye Partners, where he is responsible for financial reporting, fund operations, and oversight of accounting, treasury, and compliance functions across the firm’s investment platforms.
Prior to joining Hawkeye, Mr. Birge served as Chief Accounting Officer at Long View Equity. Before that, he spent nearly a decade as Fund Controller at Virtus Real Estate Capital, where he managed fund and property accounting for a portfolio of directly owned and joint venture real estate investments across the senior living, student housing, medical office, and self-storage sectors.
Mr. Birge began his career in the Assurance group at Grant Thornton, where he performed audits of real estate investment companies, including publicly traded firms.
Mr. Birge received a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.
