Bio
Mr. Blazejewski is a Partner at Hawkeye Partners and leads all aspects of the platform’s seniors housing business, including strategy and identification of investment opportunities. He is also a member of the firm’s management and investment committees.
Most recently Mr. Blazejewski was previously Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Director at PGIM Real Estate, overseeing all aspects of PGIM’s dedicated senior housing fund business. While at PGIM, he led or participated in the raise and deployment of >$2 billion of institutional, global, and high net worth equity capital over multiple discretionary, closed-end funds. He was a member of PGIM Real Estate’s US Investment Committee and US Management Council.
Prior to PGIM, Mr. Blazejewski was a Vice President at Welltower, Inc., the largest healthcare REIT in the United States. At Welltower, he sourced new investment opportunities and helped the REIT grow from under $5 billion in market cap to over $15 billion, and inclusion in the S&P 500.
Mr. Blazejewski started his investment career working with CSH, LLC, an affiliate of The Carlyle Group, underwriting, asset managing, and sourcing investment opportunities.
Mr. Blazejewski is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, has a master of business administration degree from the University of Maryland, and completed five deployments as a nuclear-trained submarine officer in the US Navy. He is a former member of the ULI’s Senior Housing Council and Executive Board Member of the American Senior Housing Association and was a founding member of National Investment Center’s Future Leaders Council.
He a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Retirement Housing Foundation.
